Title: Neither Shadow Nor Memory
“Neither Shadow Nor Memory” was assembled in Prague; built on a foundation of pick axe percussion, perplexed piano and grim guitar grime. Careful, deliberate loops of the unquantifiable; a (in)considerate construction site with chaotic invention.
There's a brutalist beauty behind Quoin; a city album fabricated by a sub-conscious hive mind, innumerable hands make dark work. Lost structures replaced by lost residents. The work undertaken with misaligned cams and tools worn to the shape of the users hands. The rotary motion from a decentred centre.
The house of Quoin resides with and is shaped by (and for) the lost and found; what was and what could be.
Rounding the corner; it's a part of town you thought you knew. The horizon appears altered. So, what was here before? Something has been omitted - a building, a memory. A city in Fluxus. Listen and find out. Quoin can show you the way...
